K3 – K5

Students will have the ability to learn movement patterns. Students will focus on simple locomotor skills. (walking, running, jumping, hopping, galloping, sliding, skipping, leaping). Students will learn to toss/catch light balls within their ability. Students will also learn to travel forward in a controlled setting with or without light equipment.

1st – 4th Grades

Students will learn to move in ways which he/she applies different motor skills. They will learn to use these motor skills in combination with one another. Students will learn to adapt in changing environments, and have the ability to understand and apply the concept given to them. Students will learn to jump and land with two feet, balance on one foot, strike a ball with their foot, toss & catch balls with partners. Students will also use movement with their peers in a defined area, and recognize spacial awareness.

5th – 6th Grade

Students will demonstrate a variety of motor skills and movement patterns in combination with one another.

Students will continue to perfect their motor skills, while in an environment that changes. Students will recognize spacial awareness and learn to adapt to quick changes.

Students will have the ability to apply offensive and defensive strategies in organized games. Students will learn to throw a ball to hit specified targets. Students will learn to toss/catch balls, while moving in a controlled setting.
