Dear St. Peter’s Catholic School Families and Friends,

Happy Feast Day of Saints Cornelius and Cyprian!

Again, we are welcoming everyone back to the 2nd beginning of the school year. I hope that all of you fared well with Hurricane Dorian. Let’s hope and pray that we will be protected from any further hurricanes this school year and next!

We are blessed to have a wonderful, loving, dedicated staff, and because if this your children are adjusting beautifully to the new school year. We are nearing completion of Fall MAP testing, and we will share those results with you as soon as they are tabulated. We will be MAP testing in January, and then again in May, so that we will have a clear, ongoing picture of each child’s progress and where we need to focus.

Please be sure to always check your emails, our website, www.saintpeters.school, and our Facebook page for important information and announcements, so that all are up to speed.

September is the Month of Our Lady of Sorrows, and Sunday September 15th was the Feast Day of Our Lady of Sorrows.  Let us ask for the intercession of our Blessed Mother:

Our mother of sorrows, with strength from above you stood by the cross, sharing in the sufferings of Jesus, and with tender care you bore him in your arms, mourning and weeping.

We praise you for your faith, which accepted the life God planned for you.  We praise you for your hope, which trusted that God would do great things in you.  We praise you for your love in bearing with Jesus the sorrows of his passion.

Holy Mary, may we follow your example, and stand by all your children who need comfort and love.

Mother of God, stand by us in our trials and care for us in our many needs.  Pray for us now and at the hour of our death.

Amen!

Thank you for your understanding. Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions or concerns that you may have.

God bless,

Ann M Feltner
