🌹 Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows – Monday, September 15
This solemn memorial honors the Seven Sorrows of Mary; each rooted in Scripture:
- Simeon’s prophecy (Luke 2:33–35)
- Flight into Egypt (Matthew 2:13–15)
- Loss of Jesus in the Temple (Luke 2:41–50)
- Meeting Jesus on the way to Calvary (Luke 23:27–31; John 19:17)
- Crucifixion (John 19:25–30)
- Removal from the Cross (Luke 23:50–54; John 19:31–37)
- Burial of Jesus (Isaiah 53:8–9; Luke 23:50–56; John 19:38–42; Mark 15:40–47)
The reflection emphasizes that Mary’s sorrow was not rooted in despair, but in holy mourning—a deep love that grieves over sin and longs for redemption.
