As we begin October, we reflect on the beautiful celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, which we honored during our all-school Mass on Thursday, October 1. Our celebration included the annual Blessing of the Animals, a beloved tradition that reminds us of God’s love for all creation and our responsibility to care for it.
🕊️ Feast of Saint Francis
The Feast of St. Francis continues to hold a special place in our Catholic faith because it reminds us:
- Simplicity and humility can lead to greater compassion and clarity.
- We are called to care for the vulnerable, including the poor, marginalized, and all living creatures.
- Faith and stewardship of God’s creation go hand in hand.
- True joy is found not in what we have, but in how we love, serve, and forgive others.
- Community grows stronger when we gather, pray, and share together.
🙌 Join Us for Children’s Liturgy
Families are always welcome to join us for Children’s Liturgy every Thursday at 8:30 a.m. We love seeing parents, grandparents, and family members worship alongside our students as we continue to grow together in faith.
🎪 Fall Bazaar This Saturday
Don’t forget about the St. Peter’s Fall Bazaar this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you don’t have plans, bring your family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy food, fellowship, and the wonderful community spirit that makes St. Peter’s so special.
📚 First Quarter Coming to a Close
It’s hard to believe that the first quarter ends on October 14, 2026. The school year is moving quickly, and our students have already accomplished so much. As we approach the close of the quarter, please watch for communication from your child’s teacher regarding conferences.
🏆 First Quarter Awards & Conferences
We look forward to celebrating our students’ hard work and achievements at our First Quarter Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 22, immediately following Mass.
Parent-teacher conferences will also be held on October 22 and 23. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for families and teachers to work together in support of each student’s success.
😇 Saints Wax Museum & All Saints Celebration
Our 4th-6th grade students have begun preparing for the annual Saints Wax Museum Project, where they will research and portray saints who have inspired generations through their faith and service.
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, we will celebrate our school All Saints Mass, followed by the Saints Wax Museum presentation. To help us celebrate this special day, all students are invited to dress as a saint for Mass. We look forward to seeing our hallways filled with examples of holiness, courage, and faith.
