Weekly Principal Letter

“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

MATTHEW 16:24

Dear Saint Peter’s Families and Friends,

Live Stations of the Cross: Our 5th and 6th grade students have been working hard practicing for their Live Stations of the Cross presentation. The Stations are to be performed on Tuesday, April 8th at 9:30 a.m. for school, and then Friday, April 11th at 5:30 for the parish.  Both events will take place in the school.

I have shared this before, but it is worth sharing it again:

The Jellybean Prayer is a fun Easter prayer for your family. Make up some jars (Small mason jars work well) of jelly beans to give away with the prayer during the Octave of Easter. Put them on display for the rest of Lent to remember that we are walking this Lenten journey with the hope of celebrating the resurrection of our Lord on Easter.

When Easter comes, attach the Jellybean Prayer to the jars and give them away to family, friends, elderly neighbors, or anyone who might need a little extra joy this Easter.

The Jellybean Prayer

Red is for the blood Christ gave.
Green is for the grass he made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright.
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins we made.
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrow.
Pink is for each new tomorrow.
In a handful of jelly beans, colorful and sweet
Is a prayer, a promise, and a loved one’s treat!
